Thierry the Tortue

The pattern came from Reecie. I modified how I did the bottom section and tail, otherwise the concept and other parts are from her pattern!
Thierry is waiting for some friends to join him, and then he will be jetting off to America!

Hihi, that's lovely!
By the way, I spotted some crocheting material you might be interested in. Carrefour in Auderghem (metro Demey) sells 3 balls of cotton for the price of two, so that's 5.40 euros for 150 grams. Didn't write down the yardage, but 1.5 mm crochet hook was recommended. The colours are pretty basic: white, ecru and pastel blue, pink and yellow.
Oh yes, and have you seen the Belgian button for the Olympics?

The turtle is absolutely adorable! He's on my list of things to do. I wonder if that list will ever get shorter?
